Job Description Job Description Geotechnical Engineer (P.E.) - Mid - Senior Level Geotechnical Engineer (P.E.) Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer (P.E.) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil and rock properties, and designing foundation systems for various construction projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the stability and safety of structures through thorough analysis and innovative engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities - Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments for construction projects - Analyze soil and rock samples to determine engineering properties - Design foundation systems including shallow and deep foundations - Evaluate slope stability and design retaining walls as needed - Perform material testing and manage construction materials testing (CMT) - Prepare geotechnical reports and project documentation - Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines - Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering - Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required - Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering - Strong knowledge of foundation design, slope stability, and retaining wall design - Experience with material testing and construction materials - Familiarity with geotechnical software and engineering tools - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong communication and teamwork abilities - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
