Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor job in Redding, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of craftpersons in the daily execution of work orders and check sheets to ensure the plant is maintained in good order. Responsibilities for the Maintenance Supervisor include:

- Schedule and supervise work of the craftpersons assigned to the team

- Oversee and ensure quality work performance of maintenance crews and outside contractors

- Manage any urgent or breakdown jobs as required to minimize down time

- Evaluate and communicate anticipated jobs and provide input into store stock inventory

- Participate in developing work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of mechanical expenditures, and procedures for equipment and appliance maintenance

- Participate in projects through preparing material and labor estimates and project implementation

- Participate in the plant¿s on-call program

- Ensure that maintenance department tools and equipment are in good working condition and appropriate stock is available

- Evaluate skills, determine appropriate training, and provide development for assigned staff

- Participate in the resolution of grievances as required

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

- 8 years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience, including 1 year of supervisor experience; OR Completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in mechanical repair and maintenance AND three years of relevant experience including 1 year of supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of relevant experience, training, and/or education

- Prior experience working with large rotating heavy industry machinery and equipment

- Demonstrated ability to lead others with or without direct authority

- Prior experience working with or interpreting Collective Bargaining agreements is a plus

- Familiarity with Microsoft programs, including MS Excel and Word

- Willingness to provide coverage during off-shift hour and weekends as required.

Pay for this position is $66K - $83K depending on experience. This is a direct hire opportunity.
