Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, CST, NCCT required Must-Have: Experience in pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics preferred Must be willing to float between units Description: Daily average case volume is 30. First-timers are accepted. Weekend shifts are required, approximately 1 weekend per month and 1-2 shifts per week. Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Candidates must float within the facility or to affiliate facilities nearby. If required for the role, communication devices will be provided for no cost. Completion of required modules is necessary before starting the position. Travelers must submit references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting. All time off requests must be included at the time of submission. Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes is essential. Experience in various surgical procedures is required, including abdominal surgeries, orthopedic procedures, and more. Applicants should have the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. The unit provides diverse patient care across multiple demographics. Familiarity with electronic charting systems is an advantage.
