Job Description:
Summary: An OR Tech (Surgical Tech) supports surgeons and nurses
during surgical procedures. They prepare the operating room,
maintain a sterile environment, and ensure the surgical team has
the instruments and supplies needed for a safe and efficient
procedure. Responsibilities: Prepare the operating room with
instruments, supplies, and equipment. Sterilize and set up surgical
instruments and trays. Assist surgeons by passing instruments and
maintaining a sterile field. Anticipate the needs of the surgical
team during procedures. Handle specimens and ensure proper
labeling. Count instruments and sponges before and after
surgery.
