Key Job Details – Anesthesiologist Position in Eureka, CA Location: Eureka, California (Northern California healthcare jobs) Job Title: Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Per Diem Shifts per Week: 5 (day, evening, and night shifts available) Shift Duration: 12 hours Guaranteed Hours: 8 per shift Start Date: April 1, 2026 End Date: Ongoing Weekend and Night Shifts: Required (rotational schedule) Facility Type: Level 3 Trauma Center Qualifications – Anesthesiologist Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based clinical anesthesiology experience Active California medical license (required for California anesthesiologist jobs) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology Experience with a broad range of anesthesia cases: general, pediatric, obstetric, pain medicine, critical care, trauma, neurosurgical, orthopedic, thoracic, and complex vascular Willingness to work nights and weekends as part of a collaborative healthcare team Ability to provide case logs and explain any clinical gaps over 3 months Anesthesiologist Responsibilities Provide anesthesia care for adult, pediatric, obstetric, trauma, neurosurgical, orthopedic, thoracic, and complex vascular cases Perform general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia procedures Manage pain techniques, including post-op epidural and extremity blocks Oversee ventilation management and acute volume/blood pressure issues Place central and arterial lines as needed Participate in rotational call schedule, including beeper call and remote weekend coverage Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Discover the unique lifestyle of Eureka, CA—nestled between the Pacific Ocean and majestic redwoods.
