Job Description:
Ultrasound Technologist - Ultrasound at Providence Health and
Services summary: The Ultrasound Technologist I performs diagnostic
ultrasound imaging procedures on patients of all ages under the
supervision of radiology staff. They provide clinical support,
participate in quality control, act as a resource for junior
sonographers, and contribute to department staffing needs.
Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical
Sonography and BLS certification are required for this role in a
hospital setting. Description Under the direction of the Department
Director, supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, and in
collaboration with radiologists, the Ultrasound Technologist I
performs clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures and
related activities according to department standards for all
patients served: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their
families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in
quality control and organizational improvement activities. Serves
as a clinical/technical resource for less experienced sonographers.
Participates in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the

we must empower them. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training
Graduate of a program in diagnostic ultrasound approved by the
Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the
American Medical Association or equivalent education/experience or
Completed equivalent training through self-study, on-the-job
training, etc. Upon hire: National Certification from American
Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Upon hire: National
Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Preferred
Qualifications: Experience as a hospital-based ultrasound

position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range
for this position will be determined based upon relevant job
experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base
pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role,
