summary: The Respiratory Care Practitioner at St. Joseph Hospital
in Eureka, CA, provides diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary
care to patients of various ages. This per diem position requires
adherence to hospital standards and collaboration within the
healthcare team while advocating for patient welfare. Candidates
must hold relevant respiratory therapy credentials and have a
minimum of two years acute care hospital experience. Description
Respiratory Care Practitioner at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA.
This position is Per Diem and will work 12-hour, Day shifts. The
Respiratory Care Practitioner employs intellectual, interpersonal
and technical skills to assist patients of various ages in
achieving maximum health potential. The RCP functions as a health
team member through independent, interdependent and dependent roles
within the health care system. Serving as the patient's advocate,
the RCP assumes responsibility and accountability for care of
patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of
service. The RCP performs diagnostic and therapeutic
cardiopulmonary procedures and related activities according to
department standards. Serves as customer service representative to
patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff.

program in respiratory therapy approved by the Committee on Allied
Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical
Association California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon
hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart
Association Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS -
American Heart Association 2 years of Full-time hospital based
acute care Respiratory Care Practitioner experience that includes
Critical Care, Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry,
Childbirth Center, Nursery, Neonatal ICU, and PACU. Current RCP’s
with certification and experience meet requirement for role. Why

for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage
range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job
experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base
pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role,
such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums,
