We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jan 6, 2026. This opportunity features 10-hour day shifts from 7a-5p with no call, and offers a schedule of select dates each month through June. Job Details Location: California Start Date: Jan 6, 2026 LOA: 90 days Provider Type Needed: Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 7a-5p, no call; scheduled dates include Jan 6-29, Feb 3-25, Mar 3-4, Mar 9-18, Mar 23-29, Apr 7-12, Apr 20-26, May 4-13, May 18-27, Jun 1-7, Jun 15-21, Jun 29 ongoing Responsibilities and Duties Perform low and moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access and insertion (peripheral line), and fracture or dislocation reductions with minimal to moderate displacement Manage high risk procedures including G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion or defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tube placement, and central and arterial line placement Deliver critical care services in accordance with established protocols and guidelines Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care Additional Information Must hold a current California license Must be on active staff at a TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privileges (not limited to locum privileges) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
