Job Description This is a rare opportunity for a GP-focused DVM who wants more than just a clinical role, this position is a Medical Director appointment, with real influence over how the hospital is built, staffed, and operated long term. The hospital itself is a stand-alone, contemporary facility with updated diagnostics including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and modern surgical and dental capabilities. Initially, you’ll be the first doctor on-site, so confidence in practicing independently is essential, but you won’t be alone. You’ll be backed by regional and central support teams covering operations, marketing, HR, and outreach, allowing you to focus on medicine and leadership rather than bureaucracy. This role offers the chance to establish medical protocols, hire and mentor your future doctor team, and shape hospital culture from day one. The longer-term vision includes a 5-year growth plan, with expansion of services, additional doctors, and strong community integration. Financially, the package is built to reward leadership and long-term commitment, with profit sharing, Medical Director bonuses, and no negative accrual in year one.
