Position Job Title: Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech Profession:
Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: Polysomnographer / Sleep
Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience License: Valid
license required Certifications: BLS, RPSGT, ACLS*, CCHS*
Must-Have: - Charting System Experience: Epic - Knowledge of
Respironics and various sleep study protocols - Ability to perform
multiple sleep latency tests and maintenance of wakefulness tests -
Experience with various CPAP and oxygen administration techniques
Description: There is a significant backlog of patients requiring
sleep studies, exceeding 300 patients. Approximately 100 studies
need to be scored and resulted. There is a need for a seasoned tech
to assist with education regarding scoring while conducting sleep
studies. The facility is equipped to handle various sleep-related
diagnostics and has the capacity for interdisciplinary support.
Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within
the region. Housing options in the area may be limited; therefore,
travelers should explore housing arrangements in advance. Travelers
are required to work during major holidays, including Thanksgiving,
Christmas, and New Year. References from supervisory roles covering
at least one year of experience in a comparable specialty/setting
are required. Compliance with local rules related to travel and
assignment requirements is expected. Requirements Required for
