Doctor of Medicine | Internal Medicine - General/Other Location: Eureka, CA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as an Internal Medicine – Hematology and Oncology Specialist We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Internal Medicine provider specializing in Hematology and Oncology to join our esteemed medical team. You will provide comprehensive clinical services within a leading healthcare system, ensuring high-quality treatment for patients requiring hematology and oncology expertise. Required Skills and Qualifications: Active California medical license in good standing Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital-based clinical experience in Hematology and Oncology Current inpatient activity with verifiable case logs Experience managing a high volume of analytic cases within an accredited program (preferably COC-accredited) Ability to work efficiently within an 8-hour day, with pre-approved overtime as needed Strong communication skills and the ability to respond promptly to after-hours call Clear and complete medical records, including a clean file to expedite credentialing and onboarding Nice to Have Skills: Experience with outpatient chemotherapy treatment centers Prior responsibilities involving scheduling, on-call management, and interdisciplinary collaboration Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems specific to oncology Preferred Education and Experience: Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine, Hematology, or Oncology At least 2 years of current hospital inpatient experience in oncology and hematology specialties Other Requirements: Availability to commence work by March 2026, contingent upon the completion of privileging (prior start possible with a clean file) Willingness to work a full-time schedule of five shifts per week, including one week of call every three weeks On-call duties involve responding by phone during evenings and weekends, with no onsite callbacks after hours or weekends Travel and licensure reimbursements as applicable This is an outstanding chance to join a reputable healthcare organization committed to excellence and patient-centered care.
