Doctor of Medicine | Hospitalist Location: Eureka, CA Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Pediatric Hospitalist Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Eureka, CA Service Setting: Inpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: Mar 12, 2026 - Ongoing Shifts needed to be filled: - Mar 12(6a) - 19(6a) - Apr 4(6a) - 6(6a), 22(6a) - 26(6a) Coverage Type: Call only Call Schedule: 24-hr call; 6a-6a Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 20-30 mins Admissions: 2 Discharges: 2 Support Staff: RNs Required Procedures: - Intubation (ETT/NT): Newborn & Pediatrics (chest tubes, intubations for peds would most likely occur in the ED) - Central line, UVC & UAC placement (only for neonates) - Neonatal airway mgmt including intubation - Mgmt of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression - Emergent UVC placement (delivery room) - Lumbar puncture & EKG interpretation - PREFERRED: Ventilator mgmt. & Chest tube insertion (neonates) Nursery Level: I NICU Level: II Nursery Floor: 4-6 EMR: Epic Hospital Privileges required: Yes Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: Active CA License BC/BE (3-5 years post residency) BLS, ACLS & PALS NRP
