What You Will Do: As a key member of our orthopedic team, you will assist with a wide range of surgical procedures, manage patient care in the clinic setting, and participate in on-call duties including night and weekend shifts. Your role will involve close collaboration with surgeons and clinical staff, ensuring seamless patient experiences from pre- to post-operative care. This locum position offers a consistent schedule with flexibility in call duties, allowing you to balance professional growth and work-life harmony. Required Skills: Active California medical license and DEA registration Board Certification in your respective field BLS certification Demonstrated experience assisting with orthopedic surgeries, particularly trauma cases Strong clinical skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work scheduled hours, including on-call shifts and potential overtime Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in orthopedic trauma or hospital-based settings Capable of handling complex cases with minimal supervision Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Preferred Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current hospital-based clinical activity in orthopedic trauma or general orthopedics Proven track record with case logs and surgical procedures Recent practical experience within a hospital environment Other Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges, including submission of required documentation within designated timelines Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends Must adhere to all credentialing, privileging, and regulatory standards This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00 per hour, with guaranteed 8 hours of work per day. Overtime applies after 8 hours daily, and call responsibilities are compensated within the hourly rate, including night and weekend shifts.
