Supervisor Laboratory - Clinical Laboratory - - Here at Providence, Caregivers are not simply valued-they're invaluable. Location: Eureka, CA Schedule: Full time - 80 Biweekly Hours Shift: 8-hour, Days Under the administrative supervision of the Area Manager of Laboratory Services, the Assistant Manager, Technical Lab is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations for P-SJHS laboratories in Humboldt County (HC). Clinical responsibilities include supplementing vacant shifts as necessary to support department operations. Provides leadership oversight of area laboratory operations in the absence of the Area Manager of Laboratory Services. Works closely with all levels of management, physicians, the SJHS system, external organizations and the community. Must have a professional commitment to growth, be creative and innovative, and demonstrate competency in interpersonal communication, leadership ability, and problem-solving skills. Staff members who treat patients of a specific age group must be aware of the hospital accreditation requirements specific to that population. The specific information skills related to the position in this job description will be related to the following age group populations: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology or related field.
• 3 years Experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Current license from the State of California as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Supervisory or managerial experience in an acute care laboratory setting.
