Job Description:
Astound is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cable Tech to join
our Technical & Maintenance team. This role is vital for
maintaining and enhancing our network's infrastructure, ensuring
the highest possible service quality and reliability. The ideal
candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adept in
handling complex technical tasks, and committed to providing
exceptional customer service. As a Cable Tech at Astound, you will
be part of a dynamic team that is at the forefront of delivering
superior internet, phone, and cable services. Install, maintain,
and repair cable systems, including fiber optics and coaxial
cables. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to signal strength,
connectivity, and hardware. Conduct regular system checks and
maintenance to ensure everything operates at peak efficiency.
Educate customers on system functionalities and services.
Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure a
seamless service experience. Document technical activities and
maintain records of service interventions and visits. Proficiency
with fiber optics and coaxial cable installation and maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to work
effectively in tight spaces and at heights. Excellent communication
and customer service skills. Capable of reading and interpreting
technical schematics and plans. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Fiber Optic
Cabling is preferable. Any certification from the Society of Cable
Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is a plus.
