*Job Title: * Education Related Mental Health Clinician*ABOUT

families, and this community.*POSITION SUMMARY**Reports To: *
Direct Supervisor*Status: * *Full-Time: * 8 hours per day - 180
calendar daysPerforms individual counseling, group counseling,
parent counseling and social work services as part of educationally
related mental health services (ERMHS).Provides mental health
assessments, intakes, and appropriate referrals.Provides
educationally related mental health treatment goals, as part of the
IEP (individual educational program) team as a service provider,
for the purpose of addressing social/emotional/behavioral needs
preventing the student from effectively engaging in their
education.Associates will be supervised by professional
school-based staff, and individual clinical work will be supervised
by an LCSW and/or an LMFT as required.May perform other related
tasks that are a part of the agency's operation.*Administrative
Assistance: * Clinicians have access to a full-time professional
staff for technical support as needed.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES ** Assessment*, *evaluation*, *and prognosis.
Treatment planning and evaluations.* Progress reporting within the
educational data base on a quarterly or semester basis.* Conducts
intake interviews with those who are referred for school-based
counseling services and completes the required clinical
documentation via our electronic record-keeping system within the
same day.* Obtains necessary signatures from eligible parties for
students to participate in school-based counseling services, prior
to providing individual or group counseling services.* Provides
individual and group counseling to clients on a scheduled basis
within the school day at various school sites within Shasta
County.* Participates in all IEP team meetings as a service member.
IEP meetings are held annually and as needed based on the
individual student's educational/behavioral needs.* Identify ERMH
goals to address social/emotional/behavioral concerns and enters
the goal into the school-based electronic record-keeping system 5
days prior to the annual IEP meeting for existing clients.* Provide
ERMH goals to address social/emotional/behavioral concerns and
enters the goal into the school-based electronic record-keeping
system within 7 days following an IEP meeting for new clients.*
Maintains up-to-date clinical documentation via our electronic
record-keeping system. Notes must be completed within 24 hours of
service.* Maintains up-to-date educational documentation via
school-based electronic record-keeping system.* Report student
services conducted daily via the billing submission sheet. Billing
submission sheets are required to be updated daily and reviewed
weekly by direct supervisor.* Communicate timely when 3 services
are missed due to student absence/availability to direct supervisor
and SELPA director.* Schedule compensatory services when services
are missed/not provided due to Clinician absence/availability
within the same month as the service was due.* Record mileage,
daily, within the payroll data base system and prior to the
reporting period closing date.* Consults with supervisors and
senior staff as needed.* Acts as a liaison between client and
clinic or community resources as needed.* Provides consultation to
staff, faculty, and parents seeking assistance with troubled
clients or those with serious mental health issues.* Attends
training seminars, staff meetings, and supervision on a weekly
basis and in a prompt manner.* Interacts with staff, parents,
school personnel and students in a professional and ethical
manner.* Associates are to participate in weekly supervision and
training with an openness to learning and receiving feedback.*
Utilizes psychodiagnostics assessment procedures and psychometric
methods to facilitate psychotherapy as needed.* Application of
psychotherapeutic and family systems theories, principles, and
methods in the delivery of services to individuals, couples' groups
to assess, evaluate and treat relational issues, emotional issues,
behavioral problems, mental illness, alcohol, and substance use and
to modify intrapersonal and intrapersonal behaviors.* Client
education.* Client case management.* Use and application and
integration of course work, and training required be other areas of
the law.*NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Performs
additional job-related duties and responsibilities as
requested.*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES** Knowledge and basic
skills in counseling practices and methods. School based counseling
preferred.* Ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and report
activities conducted.* Ability to communicate effectively in
writing and to prepare written and electronic documents.* Ability
to communicate orally, both in person and by telephone.* Ability to
establish rapport with others as a requisite for healthy and
therapeutic relationships.* Ability to present oneself in an
appropriately personable and professional manner to students and
staff.* Ability to receive and utilize constructive feedback
regarding performance, presentation, and relationships with
others.* Ability to be both consistent and flexible as
circumstances warrant.* Ability to effectively weigh and evaluate
personal needs, client needs and the aims and policies of the
clinic and to respond and negotiate these competing needs as
appropriate.* Ability to remain calm and supportive in
psychological emergencies and/or crisis.* An enhanced level of
self-awareness as to how he or she relates to others and an ability
to effectively modulate this personal style as conditions warrant.*
Ability to communicate via computer email.*QUALIFICATION**
Trauma-informed care and modalities are desired.* Previous
experience with school-based counseling preferred.* Candidates for
school-based counseling with Pupil Personnel Services Credential
preferred.*MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS** Applicants must pass the
Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI criminal background check.*
Applicants must pass Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance.* Master's Degree
Required* Documentation requirements in the EMR Electronic Medical
Records system includes but is not limited to recording client
diagnosis, and phone number upon initial date of service or as soon
as possible thereafter. Progress notes will be completed in a
timely manner within 24 hours of service. If notes are not
completed within 24 hours of service, they will be considered late.
If notes are not complete within 4 days of service, this will be
considered a failure to meet minimum standards for the position.Job
