Based in community settings, within a program, and working closely with our clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, DSPs provide assistance and strategies to the individuals we serve to live as independently as possible.Transportation and support out in the community: outings/field trips, medical appointments, and shoppingAssist with daily living skills including meal preparation and assist with medication administrationProvide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilitiesSupport persons served with living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming and/or bathing and toiletingAssist individuals we serve to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors (training provided)Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED/equivalentMust be minimum of 18 years of ageSix months of experience with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilitiesValid CA drivers license in good standingAccess to a vehicle with proof of valid registration and insuranceSuccessful clearance of all required background checksA reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you doWhy Join Us?Full-time and Part-time schedules availableFull compensation/benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/weekMileage reimbursement for using personal vehicle for company purposes (such as providing transportation to individuals served for errands or outings)Dayforce Wallet - get paid for the days you work without waiting for payday!
