The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care, Stroke Care, Orthopedics, Neurological Surgery, Comprehensive Cancer Care, Maternity Care, and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services, along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. In addition, the hospitals network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living. Responsibility is for a designated time frame. The Unit Aide /Technician will help provide safe, therapeutic care for our patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, Physicians Assistant, Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician. Other health care team members will be utilized with the multidisciplinary processes.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an acute care facility is required (may waive based on operational needs of department)
  • Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia required
  • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart AssociationPreferred Qualifications:
    • Prefer previous experience as a Unit Aide /Technician, 6 months Monitor Tech or equivalent level of experience
