Forklift Operators Wanted!! - -Hourly Rate: $24.00 -Humboldt Sawmill Company (HSC) is looking for expereinced Forklift Operators to join our Scotia, CA Sawmill Night Shift (Swing). You must be willing to work Swing / Night Shift (5pm - 2 AM). You will receive an additional - $1.00 an hour Shift Premium. -The Mendocino Family of Companies (Mendocino Forest Products Company, Mendocino Redwood Company, Humboldt Redwood Company, Humboldt Sawmill Company, - and Allweather Wood), is a leading manufacturer and distributor of environmentally certified redwood, Douglas-fir, and preservative treated lumber products throughout California and the Western U.S. Our culture is based in environmental stewardship and community support. Drive gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials throughout the grounds. - Participate constructively to the movement and warehousing of products to ensure the Business Unit is able to meet customer requirements for superior products in the most safe and service-oriented manner available. - -Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatusPosition forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hook tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area or truckUnload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting deviceInventory materials on work floor, tallies product and maintains stock rotationLoad or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting devicePerform preoperational checks on forklifts and reports any/all service and operational concernsParticipate in the quarterly inventory auditLoad or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or trucksCommunicate regularly with other team members and participates in team effort in work area

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsOperate a hand-held calculatorAbility to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of organizationAdd and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's Capable of solving practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
