Job Description:

Restpadd is a 16 bed inpatient psychiatric health facility in Redding, CA for acute treatment of adult patients experiencing a mental health crisis. The facilities offer treatment of patients from all over northern California and provides a much needed resource to the community.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Licensed Mental Health Professional, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC provides psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, group, individual, and family therapy, case management, and discharge planning.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with the interdisciplinary team in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
Plans and implements appropriate group, family, and individual therapy.
Maintains cooperative working relationships and effective communication with local law enforcement, county personnel, community resources, and other outside agencies as appropriate. Coordinates care with outpatient providers and resources to ensure a safe and effective aftercare plan.
Provides therapeutic intervention in crisis situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of mental disorders and their treatment as well as psychosocial and family issues pertaining to developmental delays and mental illnesses
Effective communication including initiating individual and group discussion, listening, clarifying, and facilitating interaction among group members
Writing skills to effectively document assessments and interactions with patients
Understanding of goal setting techniques and safety planning
High degree of knowledge and strategies for dealing with a variety of people from varying educational and socio-cultural backgrounds
Theories, principles, and techniques of group and individual psychotherapy
Symptoms and behavior patterns of emotionally disturbed mentally ill patients
Basic computer programs
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to be highly efficient, organized and accurate in work
Ability to exercise initiative, judgement and decision-making skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Master's degree in behavioral health
Current CA licensure of LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must pass a physical exam, drug screen, and have a annual TB test.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $37.00 - $46.00 per hour
