OverviewFor more than 70 years Mercy Medical Center Redding has
offered comprehensive health care in the North State providing
acute care and a full range of medical services. The 267-bed
hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma
Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care
Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care
Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole
provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. In addition the

to learn more.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Supervises and
coordinates activities of personnel in a central medical supply
area engaged in furnishing sterile and non-sterile medical supplies
and equipment used in patient care and treatment. Supervises staff
conformance with policies and procedures related to the handling,
sterilization, cleaning, maintenance, storage, and assembly of
patient care supplies, equipment, and instruments. Assists in
management of supply room staff to include performance management,
continual improvement, training and education and communication of
updates to policies and procedures.Supervises supply room employees
in the proper receiving storing handling and issuing sterile and
non-sterile medical equipment and supplies per organizational
standards.Monitors medical equipment/supplies inventory and
utilization levels and orders as needed to ensure adequate
availability of patient care and treatment materials.Supervises
staff conformance with policies and procedures related to the
handling sterilization cleaning maintenance storage and assembly of
patient care supplies equipment and instruments.Assists in
management of supply room staff to include performance management
continual improvement training and education and communication of
updates to policies and procedures.QualificationsMinimum
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or a combination of education
and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu
of the degreeMinimum of five (5) years of experience in Materials
Management or Accounts Payable within a healthcare organization
Three (3) years' experience in invoice resolution working with
requisitioners vendors and Accounts PayablePay Range$34.50 - $49.04
