Job Description American Consultants is seeking a local contract Cath Lab Technologist for a local contract job in Redding, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 20 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab as a Per Diem Cath Lab Tech and play a vital role in supporting life-saving cardiovascular procedures. This flexible, daytime position is perfect for a skilled technologist who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while maintaining a work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, stent placements, and pacemaker/ICD implants. Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and imaging equipment before and during procedures. Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data, and report any abnormalities promptly. Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring systems accurately and efficiently. Support contrast injections, balloon inflations, and device deployment under physician supervision. Perform post-procedure room turnover, equipment cleaning, and documentation. Adhere to all infection control, safety, and radiation protection standards. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program. RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (Radiography with CVI specialization) certification preferred. Current BLS and ACLS required.
